Learning Recommendations:  No experience needed

General Description:  Choir is for all 9th grade women and 10-12 grade women who are not in Concert Chorale. This year-long elective course gives women singing experience in large and small group settings.  Women’s Choir participates in an all-day festival field trip in the Spring.

Content:  Emphasis is placed on group rehearsal techniques, voice production, sight-singing techniques and interpretations of periods and styles.

Strategies:  Learning includes large group, small group, and section rehearsals as well as individual work on music theory and solo opportunities if desired.

Homework:  There are a limited number of evening and community performances.

Course Fee / Materials:  ASB card required. $30 class fee, $30 uniform fee.
