General Description: This class is designed to encourage students to identify and develop leadership skills by addressing campus and community issues. 

Content:  Students will engage in group discussions, team building activities, presentations, service and recognition projects and individual reflections. Students must have a desire to build a positive campus and community climate and an interest in serving others. Using the skills of servant leadership and the Youth Leaders of Promise (YLOP) curriculum, for part of the semester, this class will seek to introduce students to the techniques of effective leadership and tools for social change. Our goal will be to inspire students to envision and create a better world.

Strategies:  Self Reflection, small and large group discussion, project based learning

Homework:  Homework is given once a week on average. 

Note:  Leadership will only be offered during the traditional school day for the 2019-2020 school year.  There will be NO zero or 8th period option.
