Advanced Placement (AP)

The Advanced Placement (AP) program is a nationally recognized successful strategy for introducing students to the challenges of college-level work while they are still in high school. Students can earn college credit, advanced placement in college classes, or both.

Students who take AP courses develop skills and study habits that will be vital in college. They learn to analyze problems effectively, improve writing skills, and prepare for exams. Students who take AP courses and exams understand what is needed to succeed at the college level. Colleges and universities recognize that applicants who have taken challenging courses are much better prepared for the demands of college.

The Advanced Placement program is available at Issaquah High and Liberty..
