General Description: Students taking ceramics will learn skills and complete projects in both functional pottery using a potter’s wheel and clay sculpture using hand-building techniques. Students will also study ceramics from other cultures and historical periods. Emphasis placed on in-class participation and effort. Successful completion of assignments, satisfactory attendance and participation are requirements for credit. Credit for Ceramics 1 is required for Ceramics 2.
