Learning Recommendations: Geometry
General Description: This survey course is designed to offer students a hands-on introduction to computer science and the technologies that surrounds us every day.
Content: Students will learn about how computer technologies work and the ideas behind them. The course will cover topics such as computer graphics, robotics, algorithm, and artificial intelligence. The students will also learn to program and implement the ideas they have learned into projects.
Strategies: Students will learn through a combination of:
- Direct instruction
- Individual investigations
- Small group investigations
Homework: Time is given during class to complete assignments and projects.
CTE Dual Credit: This course is CTE Dual Credit approved and articulated with Bellevue College. Students who demonstrate proficiency of the college course competencies with a ‘B’ (3.0) or better grade may be eligible to earn college credit through the Tech Prep program. Students MUST register for CTE Dual Credit while they are enrolled in the high school course and also are required to pay a non-refundable $46 annual consortium fee.
