General Description: The Web Authoring student will learn to construct web sites using current HTML and CSS, site design and imaging applications. Students will do market research on target populations to propose site design. Students will survey, create, design, test, the web site as well as produce personal works for themselves or others. Students who complete this course with a B or better may qualify for college credit at various community and technical college programs.
Content: Students will learn how to:
- Create web pages using HTML
- Use HTML tags to create hyperlinks, embed images, and provide standard web features
- Use CSS to specify fonts, colors, and formatting
- Create web sites containing multiple pages

Homework: Time is given during class to complete assignments and projects.
CTE Dual Credit: This course is CTE Dual Credit approved and articulated with Bellevue College. Students who demonstrate proficiency of the college course competencies with a ‘B’ (3.0) or better grade may be eligible to earn college credit through the Tech Prep program. Students MUST register for CTE Dual Credit while they are enrolled in the high school course and also are required to pay a non-refundable $46 annual consortium fee.
