Learning Recommendation: Teacher Permission

General Description:  Special Education assistants work as peer tutors and may assist students with basic math, reading and computer skills, cooking and other home management tasks, physical education, and vocational skills.

Good attendance is required. Tutors receive a letter grade and earn elective credit.

Tutors must sign a contract with a staff person, which lists specific duties and staff expectations. Students may enroll for only one tutor position per semester. All tutor positions are for one semester.
