General Description: Is there such a thing as normal? When should we label someone as having a disorder? How can we re-shape the discussion to focus on what works for people instead of what doesn’t? These are complex questions that require an understanding of the way psychology assesses and treats people who are seemingly “abnormal.” We will examine the ways that psychology shapes our understanding of ourselves and those around us.
