General DescriptionProvides a structured class where students who have previously failed a course get support in trying to pass their current classes and have access to recover credits from previous failed courses. Students will receive study skills instruction and learn to be self-aware as a learner and apply successful learning strategies.  Emphasis is placed on application of basic organization skills using notebooks and planners as well as reading strategies used in education texts.  Students develop their self-advocacy skills necessary for success in general education classes.  Grading is based on in-class performance, completion of assignments, participation in guided activities, and progress in other classes. This is for students who want help passing their classes and want to access credit recovery options within the school day.
