Learning Recommendations: Have completed Biology and/or one other high school science. 

General Description: This course explores the branch of biology dedicated to animals and animal life, including animal structure, development, evolution, and classification. Course topics include natural history of major animal groups, taxonomy, key adaptions within these animal groups, with a special emphasis on Pacific Northwest Species. Students will practice scientific questioning, critical thinking and research skills, specimen identification, and observation skills. Daily classes will be focused on labs and activities, with opportunities for students to pursue individual projects in line with their unique interests.
