WANIC is a regional Skill Center consortium of eight school districts in northeast King County. Most courses meet daily for three periods on other high school campuses, at the DigiPen Institute of Technology, or at the WANIC facility in Kirkland. Juniors and seniors are eligible to participate and must be on track to graduate in order to take classes through the WANIC program. Interested students should visit the WANIC website and their high school's College & Career center in early spring to learn about the WANIC program and pursue the application process.

Application steps include: (1) Gather WANIC course details online at the WANIC website and/or through your Career Specialist; (2) complete a WANIC application online at https://wanic.lwsd.org/studentsfamilies/register-here; (3) visit the class if required; (4) consult with your counselor to review your graduation requirements; (5) once the host district confirms your application, you will receive a confirmation email; (6) once you've received the confirmation email, consult with your counselor to adjust your course requests/schedule for the following school year. Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority registration by May 1st. For more information, visit the WANIC website.

WANIC courses are available in the following areas:  Arts, Media, Communication, and Design; Business Management; Natural Resources and Agri-Science; Engineering, Science, and Technology; Health and Human Services; and Information Technology.
