Learning Recommendations: An interest in learning about the Criminal Justice system. This first semester course focuses on Law Enforcement and major challenges faced by federal, state and local agencies.

General Description: This course will expose students to many aspects of the criminal justice system including federal, state, and local law enforcement procedures. Specific focuses are integrated into the curriculum to relate to current events and recent developments in the field. Students will be involved in activities intended to promote individual leadership skills, career exploration, occupational skills awareness, and critical thinking. The Criminal Justice course is enriched with guest speakers from police departments, courts, corrections, and other agencies representing a broad spectrum of subjects and issues.
