General Description: This class explores a wide variety of areas that make up theatre. While the focus of the course is on acting/performance and its principles/techniques, the course also examines related topics including improvisation, theatre history, directing, design, theatrical traditions, the International Phonetic Alphabet, and ensemble building. It is expected that, although students are not required to participate in extra-curricular theatre, each student of this course is in attendance once at each Skyline High School Production (Fall Play, Winter Play, Spring Musical).
