Mathematics is a field that is growing at a rapid rate, spreading into new fields, creating new applications, and becoming increasingly crucial to each of our lives. To be prepared to understand and use mathematics, all students are encouraged to learn as much mathematics as possible. Students are required to take three years of high school math while in high school for graduation, and most universities recommend four years of mathematics.

College and Career Readiness: These pathways offer a range of choice for students' post-high school education and career pathways.  Algebra 2 is a common 4-year college entrance requirement though college entrance requirements vary.  Depending on a student's college and career interests, students may continue a progression of math courses similar to that listed above in post-high school studies.

Notes:

  1. 1 → age/grade enrollment restrictions apply
  2. 2 → college credit opportunity
  3. 3 → see your grade level counselor about options for accessing the IB Diploma program via double math in grade 9
  4. 4 → see your grade level counselor for math course options:
e.g. Personal Finance, Applied Algebra 2, Adv Algebra & Trig, Statistics, Calculus 1 & 2, etc.
